Are you baptized in the name of the Father ? 4-20-18

The birth of Jesus Christ the only begotten of the Father ,was described by the Angel; Luke 1:35-The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God.

Jesus Christ was the son of God, Jn.4:24-God is Spirit...His Father was God. Mat.1:21-The Angel declared "Thou shalt call his name  Jesus". Why the Name Jesus? Remember his Father was God, and as the Son he recieved by Inheritance his Fathers nameHeb.1:4-Being made so much better than the angels, as He (Jesus) hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Jn.5:43-Jesus said; I am come in my Fathers name and ye recieve me not...What name was that?According to the above scriptures it was the name Jesus. The Fathers name was glorified by the miracles done through the Son Jn.2:23-...many believed in his name , when they saw the miracles which he did. After being asked a question by the Jews, whether he was the Christ Jn.10:25-Jesus answered them, I told you, and you believe not: the works that I do in my Fathers name, they bear witness of me. Jesus taught his disciples to reverence the Hallowed name of the Father. They were to Pray:Mat.6:9- Our Father which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name.

Jn.17:6- Just before Calvary Jesus prayed; I have manifested thy Name unto the men which thu gavest me out of the world:...Jn.17:11,12-...Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me...vs.12-While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name... Jesus said in Mat.28:19-Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Baptizing in the name of the Father can only be observed by baptizing the believer in the name of Jesus. Jesus is the Fathers name.

Only through the Fathers name can believers of the gospel have life, Jn.20:31-But these things are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life through His name. Acts.10:43,48-To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall recieve remission of sins. After Cornelius and his household were filled with the Holy Ghost Peter commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. In conclusion Acts 4:12- Niether is there Salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED! Acts 2:38-then Peter said unto them,Repent and be Baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Know this that you are loved, and may the face of God shine on you. Until our next lesson.
